Two Service Experts centers are making a statement this October with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are each going to paint two of their company vans pink for the fight cure breast cancer.
During the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be giving 20% of all sales from their pink vans to their local Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help cure breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be donating 5% of all sales from their pink vans plus $10 for every heating tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.
This is the second time Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted multiple vans pink to fundraise for Susan G. Komen. In 2015, Fras-Air was able to raise over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, General Manager of Fras-Air, and one of his workers both lost their mothers to other forms of cancer and were inspired to help other families.
“The National Cancer Institute says that 107,184 women in New Jersey had breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider explained. “While the amount of cases is actually going down each year, that still represents a huge number of families who are grappling with this disease, and there is still an immediate need for research and support.”
The General Manager of Service Experts of Raleigh, Chris Overton, seconded Schneider’s sentiments. “As reported by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the number one type of cancer in North Carolina – for both females and males.”
