What Are Common Air Conditioning Problems?

Eveready Service Experts is here with some of the most usual cooling problems in Richmond.

  • No Cool Air

If you can hear your A/C equipment running but there isn’t cool air being produced, you may need to have your refrigerant levels analyzed. Refrigerant is what helps make sure the air coming out of your air conditioning system is actually cool. Call Eveready Service Experts and we’ll come out and examine your refrigerant levels and look into why your air conditioner is not blowing cool air.

  • Fan Won’t Rotate

A reason your condenser fan isn’t rotating could be that it merely burned out and you require a replacement. Humidity could cause more condensation so another issue to watch for is that the water is not draining correctly or that the drain is restricted. If you can confirm these issues, you may be able to pinpoint the problem; if not, give Eveready Service Experts a call and we can find out what has stopped your condenser fan from rotating and discuss your options to get your system working again.

  • Not Cooling Properly

First, try lowering your thermostat. It sounds ridiculous but sometimes we neglect the obvious. If that doesn’t get your air conditioner cooling, take a look at the air filter. If the air filter is blocked, it could cause significant cooling issues. Another issue that could cause your lack of cooling is that your HVAC system is not sized properly, and unfortunately this is a typical issue when homes are constructed. Eveready Service Experts will come out and conduct an analysis to determine if the size of your equipment is causing your troubles.

  • System is Short Cycling

If your system is short cycling, or turning on or off continuously, it could mean one of many things. One is that your condenser or evaporator is dirty and in need of cleaning. Once the system is cleaned and all blockages removed, you may be back in business. Remember that humidity also plays a role so if your home cools to the desired temperature, but then the humidity causes your home to warm up again, it could result in on-again, off-again air conditioning because it’s having to work harder to keep your home comfortable.

No matter your trouble, whatever air conditioning trouble you run into, Eveready Service Experts is here for you 24 hours a day so we can get your home comfortable quickly.
